The sections within each unit are as follows:

1. Main Unit Page

• • • a competency standard for that unit that involves: Understanding, Knowing, and Doing.

    • a lesson plan that describes everything you need to do to successfully develop that competency.

2. Handouts

• This unit section reveals the reading for that unit. You can read it on-screen from this course page or open it in a new Chrome tab. Most units have MICH background documents, such as the MICH First Aid Guide by Emergency, or MICH Materia Medica and MICH Hub & Spokes for a few first aid remedies. Also, excerpts from first aid books by different authors are used to further illustrate the teachings. On top of studying this material, make sure to organize it in your own files for reference as you will be doing more first aid cases throughout (and after!) your studies.

3. Slideshow

• • • The next tab reveals the slide show for that unit: listen to the video (you can pop it out for full-screen viewing) and review the slides which you can click through on-screen, or open on Drive.

5. Holistic Integration

• • • This page is the most important for full integration to occur. True holistic learning happens through full organism EXPERIENCE.

6. Unit Quiz

• • • When you're ready, complete the unit quiz and submit it to receive your grade.
