My Teaching Philosophy
In a perfect world teaching would be easy and all students would be able to grasp any concept thrown at them. However, we are working and learning in an evolving world, where humans are starting to display individuality, unique learning capabilities and starting to form their own opinion in vast ways.
I see myself as someone who can take every student’s individual strengths and harness individual talent, or skill, to make each student the most successful they can possibly be without compromising identity, or culture.
What makes a teacher “effective”?
An effective teacher is one who can easily adapt to their student’s learning style and the medium in which they thrive.
How does an effective teacher create an effective learning environment?
An effective teacher does their best to develop a community on campus and within their classroom.
What kind of attitude does an effective teacher have? About what?
An effective teacher will have the “little wins are big wins” attitude. Especially when a student needs extra guidance to thrive.
What does an effective teacher do about student motivation?
An effective teacher can simply increase motivation by getting to know their students.
What does an effective teacher do that makes him/her a proactive classroom manager?
An effective classroom manager is intuitive and can see things before they happen.
How does an effective teacher view children/students with challenging behaviors?
An effective teacher understands that students with challenging behaviors may have something going on with them outside of school that causes stress, and relates to factors in their behavior
