I Am Michael Barcellos...
And I am from Visalia, a small city near Sequoia National Park. I have a lovable, eight year old beagle, named Porter. On weekends I can be found smashing down a mountain bike trail in my local mountains, or somewhere in California.
Currently I am pursuing a Masters in Education at California State University, Los Angeles, and I have a Bachelors in Communication (New Media Studies), from San Diego State. I have taken several design classes at Grossmont College, and I have three CTE teaching credentials: Arts, Media & Entertainment, Business & Finance and Information Technology.
For the past 7 years I have been teaching Graphic Design, New Media Design and Web Design at a local high school. I coach Cross Country in the fall and coach the Distance Team for my high school’s track team in spring. I also moonlight as a graphic designer and tech consultant for local businesses in my area.
I am a Mac user, who is extremely comfortable using technology in the classroom, and I have been using HTML/CSS for over 20 years.
