For many qualification streams, students have the option to work towards and complete a formal qualification while meeting the needed hours of experience through apprenticeships and traineeships

Students can start their pathway through the trades with a Registered Training Organisation while completing their QCE.

Information on apprenticeships and traineeships will be provided to students during their SET Plan conversations.
School-based traineeships and apprenticeships are for students working in school towards a QCE.
Programs are designed to be flexible and allow students to get their hours and get paid. Minimum of 7.5 hrs/week at the approved industry rate.
Traineeships and Apprenticeships are approved for federal and state subsidies as part of the choose your path programs.
