MAP
The Measure of Academic Progress is given two to three times a year for 9th and 10th graders in Math and English. It provides important feedback on student learning and class placement.
Ohio State Testing
The End of Course Exams (EOCEs) are an important part of graduation requirements. Students will take Algebra, Geometry, Biology, ELA II, US History, and Government. These tests are typically administered in the Spring semester. Fall testing is reserved mainly for re-testing opportunities. Results will be mailed to the student's residence in the Summer/Fall. Test scores are also available on SchooLinks and ProgressBook.
PSAT
Miamisburg High School administers the PSAT test each year. Students who plan on attending a 4-year college would benefit from taking the PSAT test. The PSAT test is also used to determine whether a student can advance in the National Merit Scholarship Program for juniors.The PSAT is the practice SAT test and is administered to juniors in the fall for those who would like to take it. Sign up early, as space is limited.
Please note that students receiving 504 or IEP accommodations should submit the Consent Form and register by the specific due date listed in the information linked below.

ACT/SAT
The ACT and SAT are college entrance tests. All juniors will take the ACT (No writing) at MHS in the spring of their junior year. There is no cost to the student. Students who would like to re-take the ACT or test prior to the testing in the spring of their junior year can access test registration links below. Some colleges require a writing score when applying so students should research their school selections and take the ACT with writing if needed. Students may also register for the SAT test. ACT and SAT scores are not listed on MHS transcripts. If students wish to have their scores sent to colleges for admission or scholarship purposes, scores must be sent directly from the ACT or College Board (SAT) to the post-secondary institution.
ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.
It is administered once a year at MHS, usually in the late Fall. Sometimes there is a second opportunity in the Spring.
