I exercised this competency in the field by using telemetry gear to track the woolly monkeys, using the data collection app and recording equipment, and transferring behavioral and GPS data to the project database
Teamwork
I improved my teamwork abilities by going into the field with at least one partner. This was ideal because two people can gather more data on the group of monkeys because it's easier for the researchers to see more resulting in more accurate data.
Communication
When collecting data in the field, communication is crucial because the monkeys more far and wide and can do so quickly. This means that two or researchers following the same group of monkeys can still be spread out if performing focal samples independently. As a result, clear and concise communication is needed so every research has all the relevant information.
