Disease is an intriguing lens through which to view the intersecting geographies of various human and biophysical processes. In the past few decades, a variety of geographical changes have heightened awareness of the potential for deadly new global pandemics: from the globalization and intensification of human mobility and communication, to the disturbance of various disease-harboring ecosystems, to new trends in human food production. The 2019-20 Coronavirus is just such an example.
