I am a community manager focused on student development, belonging, and creating inclusive spaces where students can show up as who they are.
I am passionate about helping students navigate the complex experience of college while ensuring marginalized voices are heard and represented.
Through a scholar-practitioner approach, I focus on leadership development and supporting students in becoming the best versions of themselves while balancing academic responsibilities, personal goals, and mental health.
I strive to leave a meaningful impact, and representation is deeply important to me. I want students of color, especially Black women, to see that if I can do it, they can too. As Dr. Mika shared in my EDL 660: Current Trends course, “If all the good people leave one environment, who will be the change agents in the spaces where they are most needed?”
That idea has stayed with me. Even when an environment is not welcoming, I believe in creating spaces where students feel seen, supported, and valued. I want students to see themselves in me, and I am committed to helping them build counterspaces that affirm their identities and remind them that they belong.
I have also engaged in the field through national and regional conference committees, volunteering, and presentations, including presenting twice at GLACUHO and at ACPA.
