About this PBL Project
Our problem/essential question: What do we need to teach/remind our MHS student body about to empower them to take control of technology rather than allowing technology to control them?
Text: We read parts of iGen: Why Today's Super-Connected Kids are Growing Up Less Rebellious, More Tolerant, Less Happy--and Completely Unprepared for Adulthood by Jean M Twenge, PhD and jigsawed the chapters to share what we learned.
Brainstorming: Using Google Docs, we shared our take-aways and suggestions from reading and our experiences.
We then created this Empowerment handout as our guiding document for the week. Since this wasn't a very visual handout for teachers and students, we created this website.
Conclusion: Each day this content was shared in study halls. Our culminating event was the STEMposium where we were able to talk to the community, teachers, students, and manufacturers from the Montrose area.
