what to wear for PRACTICE

COLD WEATHER

49 degrees and below: Sweatshirt/jacket, pants, hat, gloves 

COOL WEATHER

50-59 degrees: long sleeves (preferably sweatshirt or jacket) and pants

SPRING WEATHER

60-69 degrees: long sleeves (jacket, sweatshirt, long-sleeve T; shorts OK) 

WARM WEATHER

70+ degrees: short sleeves and shorts 

Sweatshirts and sweatpants can be worn as warm up for practice and meets

Remove when competing in a meet event

Shoes can be any color, any brand

Must be comfortable and in good condition

What to wear for track meets

Red Vikings track tech tee goes over any top base layer. 

Worn at track meets by every athlete.

Black or red windbreakers should be worn unless it is too hot.

Bottom layers should be black

Preferred style of shorts - loose fitting tech fabric

Capris are popular during spring months

Tights are recommended during cold weather

Pants are acceptable as sole bottom layer or as warmup layer

When competing in a relay event, ANY VISIBLE layers BENEATH THE UNIFORM must be the same COLOR for all members OF THE relay.
