Teamed up with John Jay and Hamilton to create what we all know today as the Federalist Papers.
James Madison was a very smart man who went to New Jersey College (now known as Princeton).
James left office in 1817 and died 1836 due to heart failure. James was a great communicator, thinker, and statesman.
Caused burning of the White House. HUGE Sea war. USA AGAINST BRITAIN. Natives chose sides between the two countries
James while still important has another important person in the family as in Dolly Madison. She sacrificed her life to save important documents and a picture of George Washington from the White House. In 1844-1845 Dolly Madison agreed to furnish John William Wallace with copies of his uncle's letters to James Madison.
James Madison was the 4th president of the United States. And A lot of stuff happened during his presidency. Like the war of 1812, Battle of Tippecanoe, and the Louisiana Purchase. James Madison was president for two terms, and eventually he got succeeded by James Monroe.
In James 85 years of life he did a lot of stuff for the U.S. First he obviously became the 4th U.S president. But before that he served in the second Continental Congress, and The Confederation Congress. He also co-authored the Federalist Papers with John Jay and Alexander Hamilton. And he subsequently drafted the first 10 amendments. He wrote the first Inaugural address and was called "The father of the Constitution" because he wrote a big piece of it. He also got elected Virginia governor.
James Madison was the eldest of twelve children, seven brothers and four sisters. But only James Madison and five of his siblings lived to adulthood.😢😢😢
