Benjamin Franklin was one of the most important founding fathers in the founding of our country. He carried out most of the science career by inventing a lighting rod, a printing press, a stove, and many more things that has helped our country grow.

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston Massachusetts. He was raised and worked in his family's wax and candle shop. He was the 15th out of 17 children. Franklin's dad wanted him to go to school, but his father only had enough money to send him to school for 2 years and Benjamin quit school at the age of 10. After school Franklin left and went to work in his brothers printing shop.
After Ben went to work in his brothers printing shop he wanted to start writing for his brother, but his brother would not let him. After he couldn't stand the beatings from his brother. At the age of 16 he started to write letters under the name silence dogood so that his brother would print them. After a while his letters started to get widely known around the area.
These pictures were many of the things that Franklin invented. These include the kite, stove, and printing press.
After he left his brothers shop he made his way to New York after he was there for a while he realized that there was no work to be done in New York. After New York he moved to Philadelphia which was a much bigger city at the time. After working in Philadelphia for a while he moved to England and then back to Philadelphia. Once back home he began to publish the Pennsylvania Gazette.
After Franklin had started to publish the Pennsylvania Gazette and the Poor Richard's Almanack he became a wealthy man. He became the first president of the Academy and College of Philadelphia which is now known as the University of Pennsylvania.
Benjamin Franklin was the only person to sign the Declaration of Independence, and the Treaty of Paris.
Benjamin Franklin died at the age of 84 on April 17, 1790 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
