One negative is that Jefferson didn’t win his first election and was vice president to Adams. - Kenan N.

Natalie: 3: I learned that Alexander Hamilton’s birth year is unknown, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day, and Ben Franklin found new ways to generate, store, and deploy energy. 2: I wonder why all of these founding fathers worked so hard to form our country. I think that they worked so hard for their country, because they felt like since they survived the revolutionary war they have to follow through. (Mila) I also wonder why multiple founding fathers named their homes, and why we don’t do that today.
Maybe they wanted to name their house because people would know who lived there. Another possibility is that they would want to be remembered somehow so they would name their house in remembrance of them when they die. (Kandyce)

He was also known as ¨The Father of the Country¨ James Madison drafted the first constitution, and was the fourth U.S president. Another interesting thing about Hamilton is that he fought in the Revolutionary War.(2) I wonder why it was so crazy that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died the same day and it was the 50th anniversary for the US independence.
I think that it was just a coincidence that they died on the same day, and it was the 50th anniversary for american independence. (Mila) I also wonder why Alexander Hamilton lied about his birthdate. Maybe Alexander Hamilton was ashamed that he was older than the rest of the founding fathers, or he was too young to participate in the revolution, so he lied to be able to create our money system. (Reagan)

I thought it was cool when GEorge Washintion was President he chose Hamilton to be the first Secretary of Treasure.
I wonder if George Washington did not lead the Revolution War would they still win with a different person or what.
The patriots of Americans could have possibly won the war with another person, but they chose George Washington because of his amazing leadership skills, which could have had a beneficial effect on winning the revolution. (Reagan)
I think the Americans COULD have won without George Washington, but they did choose him because they liked his leadership and the way he trained them for battle. (Kandyce)

I also wonder if any of the founding fathers didn’t want to become as involved in politics as they were.
Maybe Hamilton lied about his age because he was not old enough to do something and he had to be a certain age . Adam Cowper
I wonder the same thing, Grace. I mean, maybe the founding fathers WANTED to be involved in politics, just not as much as they were. Maybe, they grew to enjoy as much politics as they were involved in because everyone counted on them to be right about everything, I think they weren’t just doing politics for themselves, but their family, country, etc. Good question! (Kandyce)

(2) It is interesting to know that Alexandra Hamiltion’s birth year was unknown and thought he could have lied about it. (1) It is so cool how Thomas Jefferson wrote the Virginia Statute of religious freedoms. I wonder why Thomas Jefferson did not try to go for 3 terms and just went for 2 terms? I wonder why John Adams' nickname is Atlas of Independence?
I think Thomas Jefferson did not go 3 terms instead of 2 because he wanted to follow George Washington’s footsteps- Berkley

Why did his Brother not want him to go out to sea? What did the bifocals do?
Bifocals are like regular glasses but they have different prescriptions in one pair of glasses.(Mila)
Maybe they didn’t want Ben Franklin to go out to sea because it was unsafe or they worried for him. - Kenan N.
I think that he did not want him to go out to sea because he thought it could be unsafe for Franklin- Grace Johns
Maybe they didn’t want him to go out to sea because he was starting to get older and could easily get lost, or die on the journey. (Reagan)

I believe Alexander Hamilton lied about his age so that he could be cooler and so he would be more respected, because even though he was important in U.S. history he was born in st. kitts and nevis which was a british territory at the time. -Luke (
Luke that is an interesting way to think about it)-Berkley
Berkley I am also wondering why Alexander Hamilton lied about his age, but I think he lied about his age because there was something that he needed to do but he was probably to old or young to do that he had to change his age and never really needed to change it back- Bronwynn
I think that Ben franki\lins dad did not want him to go to sea because maybe he thought that he was ill equipped to go to sea. (Mila)

Kenan: 3. I learned that after the Revolutionary war, Hamilton was an attorney. I learned that James Madison had drafted the Bill of Rights(First ten amendments). Ben Franklin had dropped out of school at the young age of 10.
2.I wonder why Ben Franklin decided to drop out if he was doing so well. I think that he was not challenged enough so he tried things that did challenge him (Mila)
I wonder why Alexander Hamilton would lie about his age, even to his close friends. He probably dropped out to try to get an education in other things. -Thomas
Blaine: I learned that Hamilton helped write the Federalist Papers, he was Washington's right hand man, and he might have lied about his age. I wonder why Hamilton might have lied about his age and what the hardest thing about being Washington’s right hand man was.
I learned that John Adams died on the same day as Thomas Jefferson, he was a patriot when he opposed the Stamp Act, and he sometimes put work before his family. I wonder what Adams’ last words would be if he knew Jefferson was dead and if his wife got very mad at him for not being there for his family.
I didn’t know that Benjamin Franklin had a secret name of Silence Dogood, that the Treaty of Paris ended the Revolutionary War, and that he only went to school until he was 10. I wonder why he needed a secret name and how he became so interested in electricity.
I believe Alexander Hamilton lied about his age so that he could be cooler and so he would be more respected, because even though he was important in U.S. history he was born in st. kitts and nevis which was a british territory at the time. -Luke
I think that meeting his demands would of been one of the hardest things about being his right hand man along with impressing him. (Mila)
Reagan: I learned that Benjamin Franklin was a meteorologist and a musician as well as an inventor. I also learned that Thomas Jefferson founded the University of Virginia. Another thing I learned was John Jay wrote 25 of the 85 Federalist Papers, Alexander Hamilton wrote 55 of the 85 and James Madison wrote 5 of the 85.
I wonder why John Adams chose such a political life versus a family life or try to balance it more? Maybe he enjoyed a political life and was doing what he most desired. (Kandyce) I think that maybe he had troubles with his family so in return he gravitated towards work more than his family. (Mila)
He probably would write to his family and wife. (Kandyce)
I also wonder how Alexander Hamilton came up with the idea of creating a money system the way he did. Maybe he thought it would be a good system and that people would understand it. (Kandyce)
