George Washington was the 1st president of the United States. He served 2 terms as president. From 1789- 1797. George Washington lead the continental army in the American Revolution. He was included in the 1st continental congress. On June 15th George became a major general. He also helped make the 1st constitution with the other founding fathers. He is aptly known as the "Father of His Country."
George Washington:
Born: February 22, 1732
Died: December 14, 1799
George Washington named the house he lived in Mount Vernon. It was his home plantation. He lived in Virgina.
George Washington in the Revolutionary War:
he led in the battle of Trenton: where he and his troops gathered together of Christmas Night, 1776, and made a surprise attack on Britain. They won that battle!
he led the battle of Yorktown: in this battle Washington and his army finished off Britain and were able to get their independence from Britain. They finally became an independent country.
MARTHA WASHINGTON:
she was the 1st 1st lady
Spent about half of the Revolutionary War at the front with general George Washington.
