Benjamin Franklin accomplished many things throughout his lifetime. He was a well known scientist, inventor, printer, and politician. He was a founding father too. Something really big he did during his lifetime was that he helped draft the declaration of independence, and the U.S. Constitution. He also negotiated the Treaty of Paris which ended the Revolutionary war. He did investigations into electricity. Franklin did stuff with map making and he was very interested in math. Something he published as a printer was Poor Richard's Almanac. He invented bifocal glasses and helped organize the first successful American lending library. He was born on January 17th 17706, in Boston, at that time Boston was called the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Franklin was the 15th child in his family.

He learned to read at a young age. He had success with the school he was attending , but he dropped out at 10 to work at a print shop. It wasn't really all that exciting for him though. Franklin's father , Josiah, didn't want him to go to sea like his other sibling did , so he sent him to work at a print shop with his brother. While Franklin was there he learned a lot about politics.

charge," and "negative charge." He figured out new ways to generate, store, and deploy electricity. His
design of lightning rods helped prevent many structural fires around the world. Franklin wasn't a
member of an organized church but he said he did respect some, just with different amounts of respect.
