Why is a transcript helpful at the enrollment appointment?
Having a copy of your student's transcript at the time of enrollment is extremely helpful! Typically, if you just ask your current school's counselor or registrar, they can easily send you an unofficial transcript.
We use the transcript to determine which graduation requirements still need to be completed. If you are coming from out of state, this is crucial to making sure we award proper transfer credits, as most states' graduation requirements will vary slightly. This also helps us ensure we are choosing the most appropriate level for various courses. Lastly, it also allows us to make sure we aren't putting a student in a course they already received credit for.
