Water conservation Efforts

Use Less Water

Each year America uses about 330 billion gallons of water each year. We are trying to reduce that number. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth (make sure the faucet isn't dribbling). On average you use about 4 gallons of water when you brush your teeth. So you use nearly 2000 gallons each year when you brush your teeth. When a person shaving, he/she uses about 1 gallon of water. so that means the whole earth uses about 2.2 million gallons of water each year while shaving. That is too much water we waste. So we should try to reduce our waste. We waste about 25.2 liters of water when you wash your hands. You also waste 50 liters of water when you take a bath.

While in the shower, listen to 2 songs. After the 2 songs have played, end your shower.

Don't accept water from the waiter at restaurants if you don't want to drink it! You can just say, "No thanks!" or "No thank you!"

This map is an estimation of how much water the average american used from 2000 to 2015. It also shows about how much the number of gallons of water increased over the years.
