Did you know that if you plug in a charger into a wall without a electric device attached to it, it wastes electricity? This is called vampire voltage.

  • Did you know you waste about 0.1- 0.5 watts of electricity when your phone is not plugged in?

  • Most of the electricity you use are made from fossil fuels, which release greenhouse gases

  • Vampire voltage can add about 10% to your electricity bill!

  • Buy local! It requires less fuel and prevents new roads which contribute to habitat destruction.

  • You can use incandescent light bulbs for bulbs which use 70% less energy!

  • Carpooling saves gasoline!

Ways you can save electricity

  • Unplug chargers and appliances when you don't need them

  • Turn off the lights and air conditioning/heater when you are not using them

  • Use a Smart thermostat

  • Don't sleep with your tv on! Use a timer.
