The Future of Artificial Intelligence in Public Relations
Poster Presentation at 2 pm
The world of Public Relations is changing right in front of our eyes. The integration of artificial intelligence has completely reshaped the industry as we know it. This project explores the roles of platforms like Everneed AI in completing tasks like analyzing data, monitoring social media, and managing crises exponentially faster. This does not come without its ethical dilemmas, however, and this leads to discussions of how AI should be used and when it shouldn’t be used. With a combination of expert insights and personal internship experience, this paper examines the role of AI not just for public relations professionals but also for public relations students. Transparency, the importance of not losing the human voice, and the new definition of a successful public relations practice are all considered throughout this paper. With these factors in mind, this project argues for an ethical integration of artificial intelligence into the field of public relations rather than taking a fully human approach or a fully generative AI approach.
