Private Lessons

Every student in the Kimbrough Band has the opportunity to study privately with a professional musician! We strongly encourage all of our students to take private lessons.

Enrolling in private lessons is the most significant predictor of a student's success. Students enrolled get a more individualized curriculum and the individual attention and help required to be successful, which can be difficult to provide in a group setting.

Yes! While the group lessons and classes that we provide at Kimbrough will set your student up for success, we cannot provide the same kind of attention one on one instruction does. These instructors are experts on their instruments and will be able to provide your child with the individualized instruction that will help them be the most successful they can be. These students get to move at their own pace with this instructor, instead of being attached to the pace of the whole group.

Lessons happen once a week during a student's band period and are half of the period, OR after school for 30 minutes. 

The cost for lessons is designated by the district and is an absolute STEAL! Many pros charge upwards of a $100 or more for a 30 minute lesson.

At Kimbrough, 30 minute lessons are $22. That's almost 80% or more off comparatively!
