I have picked this shop because in ten years I want to be a doctor. This shop was the perfect head start in the medical field and I have enjoyed my experience learning. We were assigned to make a skeleton and label all the bones in our body. I made my project out of pasta and beads. This project was about the skeletal system.
We were assigned to make a lung model and label them. This project was about the Respiratory System.
In this assignment, we were assigned to make a cell model out of pasta and beads. This project was about the different things in a cell.
We were taught how to properly put our gloves and gowns on (Donning). After that we were taught how to take it off (Doffing).
As a class, we went to visit the residents who live in McAuley. I had a wonderful and long conversation with a dear friend of mine who lives there.
As a group, we reviewed neurological cases related with Drexel students. We talked about the dangers of a concussion, how to prevent it, and how to treat a concussion. Then we presented the case to class.
As a class, we went to Drexel University's "Gross Anatomy Lab." The Drexel students showed us different parts of the human body and different protocols they had to take. I was able to see arteries, veins, bones, and even organs
As a class, we went to visit the residents of McAuley Convent. I walked with some residents and exercised with them. I get to know a little bit about them after every visit!
For back to school we were assigned to record ourselves doing two skills. The first skill I did was handwashing.

In class, we were assigned to partner up and practice our communication skills for patients with a disability. My partner blind folded herself and I then helped her walk past many obstacles in the hallway.
In class, we were assigned to practice one of the skills we will be tested on for our exam. The skill I am doing is feeding a resident.
Seniors and juniors were combined together and were taught how to draw blood VIA fake arm and blood
In class, we were assigned to carefully shave a balloon. the balloon is supposed to represent a residents skin.
