The University Innovation Fellows is an international program that focuses on empowering students as change agents to make an impact on their campus by identifying pain points and developing solutions through the use of Design Thinking. The program includes over 300 institutions with almost 3,000 participants across the globe.

The UIF program was initially developed by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. The program was created as part of the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation, a five-year National Science Foundation grant, which was led by Menlo College Trustee, Dr. Tom Byers.
