1. Training activity 1 (TA1) - Workshop for exchanging good practices among teachers from NO (host country), CZ, AT, and FR. It took place in Askim (NO) from Su 10th March till We 13th March 2024, including 2 travel days.
* Brief overview of workshop objectives,
* Icebreaker activity using ChatGPT to generate fun facts about the participants,
* Introduction to ethical issues related to the use of AI, including ChatGPT,
* NO team experts presentation on the ethical issues related to AI and chatbots, especially using the experience from Norwegian schools and educational authorities,
* Group discussion and brainstorming of ethical dilemmas in using chatbots in education,
* Use of ChatGPT to generate prompts and discussion points,
* Analysis of real-world case studies related to the ethical dilemmas of using chatbots in secondary education,
* Use of ChatGPT to generate scenarios and discussion points related to the case studies,
* Group discussion and debrief on the case studies and ethical dilemmas,
* Collaborative project on the ethical dilemmas of using chatbots in education,
* Focus on creating actionable solutions or guidelines,
* Based on the collaborative projects and feedback, work on drafting ethical guidelines,
* Use ChatGPT to create ethical scenarios based on case studies.
2. Preparatory virtual collaboration. January-March 2024
* Group discussion forum: This was an online forum where the teachers could discuss their experiences using chatbots in their classrooms and share their thoughts and ideas about ethical dilemmas. It generated discussion points and prompts for the workshop.
* Ethical dilemma scenario: We created a scenario related to the ethical dilemmas of using ChatGPT in secondary education and asked the teachers to discuss possible solutions. This scenario was shared with the group via a shared online platform, and the teachers used ChatGPT to generate promptsand discussion points.
3. Subsequent work tasks. March-April 2024
* Improving Ethical Guidelines (see results),
* Sharing lesson plans and activities: The teachers shared lesson plans and activities that they have developed for using ChatGPT in their classrooms,along with any ethical considerations they have considered.
Achieved results of the activity:
1. Successful participation of 6 participants (teachers) from 4 countries (including the country of venue) in the workshop TA1.
2. Ethical Guidelines: a set of ethical guidelines for using chatbots in secondary education. These guidelines are based on the teachers' experiences who participated in the activity and discussions during the workshop and can be shared with other teachers and educators in their respective schools and countries.
