Gabby Prodgers

For my concentration project I focused on my mother and her music. My mom used to sing when she was younger with her mother and sister. They stopped when my mother and aunt got to high school. But about a year ago they decided to start it up again so now 2-3 times a month they sing together and it is always a fun time. It is so amazing to see that they can still sing the way they used to and to see how many people love and support them at every show. My mom is mostly a stay at home mom but has an interior design company on the side but singing has really been keeping her busy and extremely happy!

I was able to capture them at rehearsal and at one of their shows. I had a lot of fun with this project because I love to watch them sing and see how much fun they have with it. But, I did struggle really hard with getting the right lighting and using the right settings on my camera which kinda set me back a little and my final photos definitely are not the best they could be.

Going into this project I really wanted to capture all the work that goes into their shows. From researching music, playing around with the soundboard, practicing and finally, performing. I think I captured all those aspects in some way but not the way I hoped to.
