Meet the Teacher

Summer 2025

Dear Third Grade Families,

Welcome to third grade! I hope you are having a relaxing summer vacation. My name is Mrs. Moroney and I am very excited to be your teacher this year. This is my 11th year in Medway and my 14th year teaching. I am looking forward to meeting and teaching you! I cannot wait to hear all about you and your summer adventures. 

Just so you know a little about me, I thought I’d include a few details. My hobbies include soccer, swimming, going to the beach, animals, reading, cooking, and traveling to Cape Cod. Mr. Moroney and I have a daughter, Reagan (7), and a son, Declan (5). We also have a 1 year old puppy named Archie. You will see a lot of pictures of them throughout the year. Mr. Moroney’s family is from Medway and you can see their family business on Village Street! Lastly, I moved into a new classroom this summer and I can’t wait for you to see it! You will be my first class in the new room! (We’re downstairs.)

I know we will have a fantastic year together. We will work hard but we will also have a lot of fun! There is so much to learn in third grade. Do you know about the American Revolution? Have you been to the Plimoth Patuxet Museum? As class, we will study famous people, places, and events throughout the history of Massachusetts and Medway. You will learn multiplication and division and we will study many different genres in reading and writing. I am so excited to take this journey together!

When you come to school, I want you to bring your own unique personality and know you can be yourself. I am so excited to learn about you and your interests. You should never be afraid to try new things or make a mistake, that’s how we learn! 

We have plenty of summer left to enjoy, so make the most of it! Play outside, go to a game, and don’t forget to read, read, read! I will see you soon!
