All students must return any district property before receiving their cap and gown. School-issued Chromebooks can be dropped off at the I.T. office room 031-2, by the cafeteria, during the allotted time frames listed below.
May 23rd 1:30pm - 3:00pm
May 27th 11:00am - 12:45pm
May 28th 11:00am - 12:45pm
May 29th 11:00am - 12:45pm
May 30th 9:45am - 10:45am
June 2nd 8:00am - 9:00am
When returning your Chromebook and its charger please be sure that any personal stickers or markings on the device other than the school-supplied labels with your name are removed. Units are expected to be in full working condition when returned. Both the Chromebook and charger will be inspected by one of the I.T. staff members.
If it is found that the device is non-functional or has significant damage (Broken Screen, Missing Keys, Etc.) you may be held liable for the repairs unless you have purchased insurance for the device.
Below are the potential costs, should one or more parts of your Chromebook be broken or missing. Fees must be paid before in order to receive your cap & gown.
Entire Chromebook*: $275 (we accept replacement models of identical specification)
Charger: $20.00
Screen: $150.00
Keyboard: $11.00
Top Cover: $12.00
Bottom Cover: $13.00
* In the event the school-issued device is damaged beyond repair, we will accept replacement units of similar or greater specification. To identify the unit type, please review the service tab at the bottom of the unit. Typically, this is an Acer Model R11, R721T, or R752T, touchscreen device. Families may find full replacement units online that are cheaper than the Medway Public Schools full system replacement cost.
