To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to offer my recommendation for Kristen Kaiser, as I believe she would make a wonderful art teacher. I work for PSL Services/ STRIVE as the Community Support Program Manager working with adults with intellectual disabilities. We had the privilege of having Kristen prepare and lead two lessons catered to our participants’ skills and interests.

Kristen’s organization, ability to lead, articulate instructions, and provide support for the clients exceeded my, already high, expectations. She led a lesson involving silhouettes of our participants, drawing emotions, and painting. The group of participants in her art lesson ranged in strengths and abilities, so Kristen was continually checking in to ensure their needs were being met. Each participant was able to successfully complete the lesson and enjoyed themselves thoroughly while creating their pieces.

In the preparation stage for these lessons, Kristen made a thorough effort to understand the individuals through meeting with them prior to the lesson and observing their strengths in various art related tasks. She asked questions that helped inform how her lesson would be taught.

After witnessing Kristen in this teaching role I believe she would make an exceptional art teacher. Please do not hesitate to be in touch if you have any questions at all.
