About Me:

Isabella Hendry has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MECA&D in Painting with minors in Art History and Drawing, she will be receiving her Masters in Art Teaching in May of 2025. She has lived in Maine for the last fifteen years and developed her love for teaching while coaching middle school and high school travel field hockey teams. In conjunction with coaching she has grown a well rounded studio practice that provides the fundamentals of a harmonious artistic education. A focal point in her teaching philosophy is her determination to provide an equitable art education for all students – she works to achieve this through collaborating with ML and Special Education professionals and providing differentiated instruction for her students. She has learnt much from her local Maine community and is driven to foster an expansive creative experience that pushes students to be independent learners inside and out of the classroom. In her free time she enjoys running, painting, reading fantasy novels, and bookbinding - allowing her hobbies and passions to inspire her lessons.
