What is the difference between AP & Dual Credit?

Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.  Some of our AP courses also have a dual credit compenent to it if the student chooses that option.

Dual Credit

In Dual Credit, a student is enrolled in a course which allows him/her to earn high school credit and college credit simultaneously. This course may be taught on a college campus or on a high school campus, but it will be in conjunction with a college or university.  In order to receive dual credit, there are tuition fees that may be due.
