There are number of reasons to take a class outside of Northgate. Before signing up for a class, meet with you school counselor to determine the best path for your needs. All classes required for graduation must be taken at Northgate.
HOW and WHY?
Advancement (to get into a higher level course in the following academic year) - transcripts must be submitted to Northgate by August 1
Enrichment (for personal interest; taking this course does not impact student's schedule for next year)
Remediation (to earn a higher grade for a course in which a D or F was originally earned) - please note that college courses cannot be used for remediation
Students taking a summer class need to turn in their transcripts by August 1 to get the class added to your Northgate Transcript (if applicable).
Reminder: if you are taking a class that Northgate offers, you will not receive any high school credit for that class.
