A hybrid class (later class) is a fully equipped class for hybrid teaching – a teacher teaches simultaneously online and at the class. The class gives the opportunity to give distance and IT based teaching and enables students to study simultaneously at home and in our hybrid class with the teacher present, MS O365 Teams (later Teams).

The class has fixed speakers, cameras and mics which are connected to the control panel. The class also has a big TV screen and projector to show content and participants’ video/picture.
There are also movable laptop units (10 pieces of laptops) if fixed (12 pieces) computers are not enough. For students using laptops, there are empty tables and extra chairs available.
There are also headsets and cameras available for computers.
One thing to notice is that the mics are very sensitive and pick up everything from typing to teacher walking with high heels.
Group learning is very easy to execute whether some students are at home and some in the class. Students in the class also open Teams and the teacher can group students by using Team’s breakout rooms.
Teaching in this class is very easy and doesn’t need any special technical skills from the teacher which lowers the barriers to giving hybrid lessons.
Hybrid class increases flexibility for studies when students can choose their own way of study by choosing where they study. Hybrid learning creates students a new learning path.
