In developing the Guidelines for Delivering Remote Teaching in Vocational Education and Training, a key focus has been to:
help VET providers, teachers and trainers to develop their digital competence;
raise VET providers, teachers and trainers’ awareness of essential principles of remote teaching;
overview possible technologies, resources and tools to suit the online environment;
encourage VET providers, teachers and trainers to create digital learning materials.

DigCompEdu offers a structured approach to digital competences required for educators. The framework distinguishes six areas of professional and pedagogical activity of educators and proposes a set of 22 competences to cover different aspects of activities in all areas.
