Mr. Fred Heyman, Immigrant from Germany and Holocaust Survivor
"In my lifetime, I think your story is truly the one story that I wanted to hear about repeatedly for the rest of time. Your story, including the stories of many other Holocaust witnesses and survivors, deserves to be heard through generations and generations onwards. To be honest, I have never thought about being the last generation to witness the Holocaust and to hear such a story orally by a Holocaust survivor. It never occurred to me that that may be the reality but I hope that I am not considered one of the last. I wish to be apart of the many that hear you, who hear your voice along with the remaining people from that time. I want to hear generations younger than me talk about how the awesome and extremely kind Mr. Heyman came to talk about a story that made them much more sympathetic and sincere. In that way, we, as people, exceed the people before us and get better with time (maybe something like wine). I pray that time allows humanity to be more compassionate and more selfless than ever. With your story, you have already made your mark on the world and you have already started an awareness movement towards your story including stories that sound just like yours. You have already started your duty as a person with a story to be heard, changing the world bit by bit, permitting the incoming generations and generations to be more compassionate and selfless."
