Pathway Overview
The Agribusiness pathway focuses on the production, distribution, and use of agricultural-related products. Content covered includes animal, plant, and food science & production. Students also learn about business management practices, environmental sciences, natural resources, and global agricultural development & trade. This course also integrates leadership development, career preparation, and personal growth into classwork through participation in the country's largest student-led organization, FFA.
Course Names & Sequence
Class Details: 2 - 4 year program, 1 class per year for 4 years or 2 classes a year for 2 years.
Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR)
Recommendation: taken as freshman/sophomore as the introductory course.
Animal & Plant Science
Recommendation: taken as a sophomore/junior, can be an introductory course if biology has already been taken.
Greenhouse Management
Recommendation: taken as a junior/senior after taking at least AFNR or Animal & Plant Science.
Global Economics & Food Markets
Recommendation: taken as a junior/senior after taking at least one other agribusiness course.
