MHS ASTRA 

ASTRA members joined students from other clubs at MHS to build gingerbread houses in a competition.

ASTRA members went to Valley Manor to paint spring designs on their windows. Many of our members said that they loved making the people living there happy, by painting this cute spring art for people in our community. 

Members of ASTRA made wreaths for this Christmas. The members made beautiful handmade wreaths and sold them. The profits from this event were used to support eight MHS families for the Holidays. 

Members went to Amazing Glaze to paint the high school's counselors mugs to show our appreciation. The counselors do a lot for our school and students, so we decided to paint these as a gift of appreciation.

ASTRA volunteered at the Botanic Gardens in November and December to help decorate for the Garden of Lights. This event happens every year is at the Botanic Gardens during the holidays.  

Some ASTRA members helped out Norris Snell Real Estate to give out candy to kids as they went trick or treating this October. The Montrose Community hosted this downtown event where kids came and got candy from our members and then went to  Centennial Plaza for many other activities and costume contests. 

Members of ASTRA decorated wig stands for patients experiencing hair loss from Cancer treatments. The foam heads will be donated to Cancer Patients as they go through chemotherapy.  Many patients loose hair with chemotherapy, and so we painted and decorated foam wig stands. 

ASTRA members built and decorated a scarecrow, for Altrusa, to donate to our local gardens. The proceeds from sales of the scarecrow goes to the Botanic Gardens. This year, our members chose to decorate the scarecrow as part of the MHS Mountain Biking Team to celebrate their winning season.
