Nearpod will be used in the classroom and student-paced in the remote learning environment.
Nearpod- Uses a slide show (Google Slides or PowerPoint) to provide instruction, but videos and student activities are embedded.
Grammar, Mechanics, and Usage
Daily Language Instruction (DLI)
We are completing daily warm up assignments working on capitalization and punctuation
Reading/Writing
We are reading Kavik as a class and completing book reports/summaries for each chapter.
Through this book we are exploring the elements of plot and learning how to write quality summaries.
The students are learning how to develop a story from start to finish including: Character Development, Setting, and Conflict/Resolution techniques.
Late Work Policy - Late work will be accepted for half credit up to one week after the due date. After one week, the assignment will receive a score of 0.
Campus Student/Campus Parent - Be sure to create a Parent Portal account to have access to all of your student’s information (grades, attendance, lunch count, etc.)
Grades - Grades are averaged and we believe that all aspects of a student’s educational practice are of equal importance so we do not weigh grades. Please note any missing assignment will receive a score of zero (0 %).

A 100-90%
B 89-80%
C 79-70%
D 69-60%
F 59-0%
