At Takoma Park Middle School, we offer an inclusion program to all of our students in Special Education. Students are mainstreamed for the majority, if not all, of their academic and elective classes. These classes are co-taught by a general education teacher along with a special education teacher/paraeducator.Ā

Parent Community Coordinators (PCC)Ā

PPCs help build and strengthen positive relationships with families and work collaboratively with school leaders, staff, and community organizations to develop and implement family engagement activities. They support families by guiding them through the school system, helping to build their ability to advocate for their studentā€™s academic success, especially those who may be facing language, cultural or economic barriers.Ā  The PCCs are a diverse team of professionals located in school communities most highly impacted by poverty.
