Did you know? Every student must earn 75 SSL hours. If you earn 260 SSL hours, then you earn a Certificate of Meritorious Service & receive a tassel for graduation!
Need help planning for your future? You can access your course history & SSL hours on Synergy. Your counselor can also help you plan for success.
If you have been successful in your current class, consider moving up to to the next level- honors, AP, or IB!
Did you know? Colleges are looking for students who have challenged themselves by taking at least 1 IB course even if a student earns a lower grade! Employers are looking for candidates with who have a diverse set of skills developed from challenging classes and can adjust to change.

Need support? We believe that you can do hard things, but we can also help! We offer support classes, such as Approaches to Learning for AP & IB students, as well as weekly academic support time & student-led tutoring.
Step into SVHS & find your place by taking an elective class, or joining a career pathway, IB DP, or IB CP. These will also help you to stand out to colleges and employers!

Did you know? Not only do AP & IB classes build your skill set & increase your likelihood of college admissions, they can also earn you college credit! In fact, IB DP students receive sophomore standing at Towson University!
Make sure to develop all of your IB Learner Profile attributes by joining extracurricular activities (ECA) & continuing to take a Language Acquisition course!
