Welcome! The College & Career Center holds a wealth of information and resources for students as they ponder "life after high school." Parents and students can reach out or make an appointment with Mr. Nalda in the College & Career Center for assistance with college, career, or scholarship searches. The College & Career Center also has many resources and information regarding financial aid. This is especially important for eleventh and twelfth graders.
During the school year, the College & Career Center is open 7:00am - 3:00pm. Students can come in before school, after school, or during lunch. At any other time during the day, students may come down with a pass as long as a scheduled activity is not taking place. Parents & Guardians are also welcome to schedule an appointment via email. Zoom meetings are also available.

Attention Class of 2027!
It’s time to begin your college search! On Tuesday, April 21st, SVHS juniors will have the opportunity to attend the NACAC Montgomery County (MD) National College Fair as part of a school-wide field trip. This year’s event will take place at the Adventist Healthcare Fieldhouse (formerly the Maryland SoccerPlex) in Boyds, MD, and host over 275 Universities and Colleges. Admission representatives will be there to answer your questions about Admission Requirements, College Essays, Financial Aid, Scholarships and more.
Field Trip Details:
Date: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Location: Adventist Healthcare Fieldhouse (formerly the Maryland SoccerPlex), 18031 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD 20841
Time: Students will depart SVHS at 9:40am and return to school at 11:30am
Cost: $4.00 (bus transportation)
In order to participate in this field trip, students will need to pay the $4 field trip cost using their SchoolCash Online account and bring a signed permission slip to Mr. Nalda in the College/Career Center, Room 2408.
Signed permission slip and payment are due by Tuesday, April 14.
In addition, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the fair is open to all high school students and their families from 6:30–8:00 p.m. Included in the evening event are workshops covering “The College Application Process: Timeline and Resources” in English and Spanish.

We are excited to announce that our next Crafting Futures Event, in partnership with the Washington Commanders, will take place on Saturday, April 11!
Clark is collaborating with dozens of local trade contractors for a hands-on day of learning at Northwest Stadium. This construction tailgate will be packed with opportunity for students across the DMV to explore career paths with high earning potential that don’t require a college degree. This event is designed for middle and high school students and their families; educators are encouraged to attend.

A career‑readiness event for ages 16–25 with resume help, interview practice, workplace skills, entrepreneurship, LinkedIn Learning, and the WorkSource MoCo Mobile Job Center, & more.
Join us for a dynamic, full‑day career readiness and skill‑building event designed for teens and young adults ages 16 to 25. In partnership with WorkSource Montgomery and the Gaithersburg‑Germantown Chamber of Commerce, this program brings together career specialists, local business leaders, and workforce development resources to help participants build confidence, explore opportunities, and take the next steps toward employment or entrepreneurship. Whether you are preparing for your first job, planning future career steps, or curious about entrepreneurship, this event offers helpful tools, expert guidance, and community support—all in one place.
Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience is needed. This program does not require registration. It is free and open to all.
