As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to thank all MCPS mental health professionals for everything they do to support students, schools, families, and communities. Recognizing School-Based Mental Health Professionals
Consider these ideas to recognize your school-based mental health professionals (including school counselor, school psychologist, school social worker, pupil personnel worker, and any additional school-based mental health professionals) this week:
Shout out each school-based mental health staff member during morning announcements
Write a note to each school-based mental health professional and place it in their mailbox, door, office, or designated workspace
Provide information about each school-based mental health staff member in the principal's newsletter shared with the community
Can you find all the school-based mental health professionals in your building/office? Give them a high five or send them an email of appreciation this week
