The College & Career Center receives listings, internship and apprenticeship opportunities from outside organizations to share with students. Please note that many opportunities may be virtual because of the current Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, students should use their best judgement when applying to in-person positions.
Currently looking for high school seniors or recent graduates who are looking to earn money working in our afterschool program or who are looking to be paired up with a school for graduation credits (or a combination of both). Our immediate need is for someone to work in our afterschool program, working alongside one of our current teachers. The ideal applicant should show an interest in working with young children, be responsible with good character and be a positive role model for our students. All applicants must be 18 years of age and pass a criminal background check. Eligibility to Apply
a highly motivated and responsible student
age 16 or older
a rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an MCPS high school
in possession of a Social Security number
able to transport yourself to and from work

Service Year Maryland is a new program recently signed into law by Maryland Governor Wes Moore. A service year is an opportunity to develop real-world skills through hands-on service. There are over 65,000 service year opportunities in a variety of issues all across the country.
