Ms. Salazar joined the MBHS Counseling Team as the College/Career Information Coordinator in August, 2019. She graduated from Towson University in 2015, earning her Bachelor's of Science in Sociology. Ms. Salazar is currently pursuing her Master's in Counseling where she hopes to further her career with helping high school students. When she attended high school, Ms. Salazar remembers the difficulties she faced as a first generation college student. She remembers the lack of guidance and information available to students like her. Ms. Salazar hopes to help all Blazers with their next steps. Whether it's attending college or trade school, Ms. Salazar is willing to provide support with the process.

Please join our College & Career Google Classrooms for Grades 9-12. Ms. Salazar will be updating each classroom with information on scholarships, job/internship opportunities, summer opportunities, workshops, and all information regarding the college & career process.
College/Career Rep Visits
The College & Career Center will be hosting virtual Spring College & Career Visits with Representatives. Students in grades 10 through 12 are invited to attend via zoom. Please register for College Rep Visits through your Naviance account in order to access the zoom link. You must register ahead of time. The Registration window closes the night prior to a Rep visit. Requesting Letters of Recommendation from Teachers
Seniors should request letters of recommendation from teachers at least 30 days in advance before their application deadlines. Before submitting requests on Naviance, Seniors should communicate with their teachers beforehand so they are aware that they will be receiving a request.
