Email the updated information to Sharon_D_Rogers@mcpsmd.org, and copy (CC) your teacher sponsor.

Chief Rogers, the JFK ECA Activities Director, is responsible for keeping club information up to date, as well as increasing club awareness at the school. Please email her at Sharon_D_Rogers@mcpsmd.org and make sure to check your club email for new info!

There are countless ways to advertise your club! Create a short Club Highlight Video or announcement for KCTV and have your teacher sponsor send it Mr. Inches at Andrew_Inches@mcpsmd.org, create a social media account, collaborate with other clubs, and/or contact your class administrator to make an announcement on their Canvas page!

What is the MCPS Certificate of Student Engagement?
The MCPS Certificate of Student Engagement is an initiative to “recognize secondary students for commitment in participation in a wide range of MCPS Athletic and Extracurricular Activities”. Students can receive a Bronze Certificate for participation in 1-3 extracurricular/athletic activities, a Silver Certificate for participation in 4 - 6 extracurricular/athletic activities, and a Gold Certificate for participation in 7+ extracurricular/athletic activities. All clubs are supposed to keep rosters of their members, and the Extracurriculars Administrator and Assistant Principal, Dr. Bradley, will gather the info at the end of year to make sure you get your certificate!

What is the Montgomery County Regional (MCR) SGA Grant Program?
"MCR-SGA is dedicated to offering leadership and advocacy opportunities to all students in Montgomery County...Any student-led clubs and organizations, inside and outside of school, are eligible to apply. This grant program seeks to promote leadership, advocacy, and community involvement. All types of groups are encouraged to apply, not only political ones. If your organization fosters leadership or community involvement, please apply!...Grants will be given on a rolling basis with amounts varying on need from the organization. You or your organization may be reached out to for an interview." Be on the lookout for a school announcement at the start of the 2021-2022 school year when the applications re-open!
