The Kennedy Student Ambassador Program is an initiative designed to partner administration, teachers, and selected students to take Kennedy High School to the next level of academic success. Student ambassadors are invited to apply during the summer of their senior year based on their academic standing. Student ambassadors are strategically placed in an academic course of their strength and interest, where they serve as teacher assistants to help ninth grade students grasp key concepts taught in class. Student ambassadors work closely with teachers and administrators to communicate to incoming freshmen the importance of striving for academic excellence and to help them make the transition to high school. Student ambassadors reflect upon their leadership skills through written reflections, teacher evaluations, and individual meetings with the coordinator.
