The Mindfulness and Yoga Club creates the opportunity for students to meet weekly, in a safe, supportive environment, to de-stress while they learn the basics for two techniques towards managing stress, relaxation and mental and physical exercise. Students will watch videos, participate in discussions, try mindfulness exercises, breathing exercises and yoga postures. Content presented will be from the secondary curriculum for Mindfulness as developed by Jeffrey Donald, Mindfulness Coordinator, and his team, the BeWell 365 curriculum, and the Yoga Stretching Physical Education course, designed specifically for MCPS.

Model UN is a simulation of the UN General Assembly where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more. Meetings will be spent working on skills such as public speaking, preparing reports, and researching countries, as well as preparing for conferences.

A space for LGBTQ+ members and allies to come together to find community, learn about the history of queer rights, explore their own identities, and have a space where students feel safe and validated in who they are.
