Chromebook Inventory in Grades 9-11

Two weeks ago in English classes, students in grades 9-11 received notices indicating the MCPS asset tag & serial numbers of the device(s) currently assigned to them.  Students were asked to verify that our records accurately reflect the Chromebook they are using, and to report any discrepancies to Library Media Center staff for resolution.

Seniors: Download Your Google Data!

Graduating Seniors, your Montgomery County Public Schools Google Workspace account will become inactive prior to the first day of the 2024-2025 school year. After the first day of the new school year, you will no longer be able to check your Gmail or access Google Drive. It is recommended that you do a full data export from your Google Workspace account using Google Takeout before the start of next school year.

You can export and download your data from the Google products you use, like your email, calendar, and Drive files. In a few easy steps, create an archive to keep for your records or use the data in another service.

·  Go to the Google Takeout page. You may need to log in with your MCPS Google account. Products that have your data are automatically selected.

o If you don’t want to download data from a product, uncheck the box beside it.

o If you only want to download some of your data from a product, you may have the option to click List All data included. Then, you can uncheck the box next to data you don’t want to include.

·  Select Next step.

·  For "Delivery method," select Send download link via email.

·  Select Create export.

·  Google will email you a link to its location. Depending on the amount of information in your account, this process could take from a few minutes to a few days. Most people get the link to their archive the same day that they request it.

MedStar Health is offering Montgomery County sport physicals at their Rockville location this year on Thursday, June 6th from 5-7pm.  Please see the attached flyer.

SVHS Celebrates 14 Early College Graduates

This past Friday, 14 of our amazing Screaming Eagles graduated from Montgomery College's Early College program.

These impressive students earned their associate's degree 2 ½ weeks before receiving their high school diplomas!

Early College students complete their 11th and 12th grade years of high school while simultaneously completing their first two years of college.  They graduate with an associate's degree from MC as well as a Maryland State High School diploma.

The Seneca Valley graduating class of 2024 has the most Early College graduates that it has ever had, doubling the total number from last year.

Congratulations to these wonderful, ambitious students and their families!

Hello, Seneca Valley High School Community!

Seniors in search of Food!

Local Food Business Opportunity!

Every year the Seniors put on a celebratory picnic for themselves to mark the end of their high school career. This year the class officers would like to celebrate the community they are in with the food that is provided! They know that many Seneca Valley families are connected to restaurants and/or catering companies in the area. The Seniors would like to feature your food at the picnic either via your donation or a discounted price. They would advertise and hype up your food via social media.

If this is something you are interested in helping the Seniors out with – please contact Tessa Walker (tessa_walker@mcpsmd.org) and Juli Taylor (julianna_taylor@mcpsmd.org)

SENIOR COMMITMENTS!

Seniors, your Class Officers want to celebrate your achievements and commitments! Please DM them @sv24commits on Instagram with where you are committing next year. Or complete this form (https://bit.ly/sv24commits) with that information. You will be shared on the Commitments Instagram page.
