Community Newsletter
June 10, 2024
Good Evening Seneca Valley Community,
I hope everyone had a good weekend! Graduation at UMBC was a great event and send off for the Class of 2024. Traffic leaving the event coupled with the storm made for long rides home.
This is a short week with a half day on Thursday, June 13th (the last day for students), and no school on Friday, June 14th.
Please see messages from the Boosters regarding officers, and the PTSA regarding Prom and after Prom.
Have a great day and week, on purpose!

Graduates, Download Your Google Data!
Graduating Seniors, your Montgomery County Public Schools Google Workspace account will become inactive prior to the first day of the 2024-2025 school year. After the first day of the new school year, you will no longer be able to check your Gmail or access Google Drive. It is recommended that you do a full data export from your Google Workspace account using Google Takeout before the start of next school year.
You can export and download your data from the Google products you use, like your email, calendar, and Drive files. In a few easy steps, create an archive to keep for your records or use the data in another service.
· Go to the Google Takeout page. You may need to log in with your MCPS Google account. Products that have your data are automatically selected.
o If you don’t want to download data from a product, uncheck the box beside it.
o If you only want to download some of your data from a product, you may have the option to click List All data included. Then, you can uncheck the box next to data you don’t want to include.
· Select Next step.
· For "Delivery method," select Send download link via email.
· Select Create export.
· Google will email you a link to its location. Depending on the amount of information in your account, this process could take from a few minutes to a few days. Most people get the link to their archive the same day that they request it.
2024-25 Course Requests Review
It is hard to believe that this school year is almost over, and School Counselors are already working hard to prepare for a fantastic year at SV next year! In preparation for the 2024-25 school year, students and families are encouraged to review their student course requests by visiting the “Course Request” tab on StudentVUE or ParentVUE. A reminder that at this point, these are course requests, and not actual schedules. If you have any questions about your course requests, please reach out to your student’s Counselor and they will be happy to assist.
Summer School Updates
Summer School Session 1 payments are due by June 16 for the Regional Summer High School Program (in person) and Central High School Summer Program (virtual). If payment is not received by June 16, the student will be withdrawn from the course. The first session will run from June 26–July 16 (no class on July 4); the second session will run from July 18–Aug. 6.
Session Two enrollment closes Sunday, June 30. Parents can register students on their ParentVue accounts. If you have registered for a summer course and have not received a payment invoice, or if you have any questions about Summer School registration, please contact your student’s counselor. Read more. Final Transcripts
FYI that final transcripts will not be available until the beginning of July, as we have to wait to receive from MCPS. Once we receive, we will send to the college you indicated on your senior exit survey. If that plan has changed, please let us know asap.
You may receive emails from colleges saying that your final transcript has not yet been received or is missing. Don’t worry, we will take care of that on your behalf. Even if you get a message that a deadline has passed, these are automated messages. Colleges know that we cannot send until we have received official transcripts.
