All hours must be served at an APPROVED non-profit organization within Montgomery County
Students will be expected to complete at least 40 hours of Community Engagement prior to the start of each semester they participate in the ACCE program.
It is recommended that students complete all 80 required hours during the summer before the start of the fall semester (to avoid conflicts with NRCC classes throughout the year).
Community Engagement hours are managed and assigned by individual localities: all community engagement questions should be directed to Montgomery County's coordinator - see below for contact information
Montgomery County hosts a Community Engagement Fair in May - students will see community engagement opportunities and sign-up to serve at a location of their choice at the fair.
If a student wishes to volunteer at an organization that is not on our approved Montgomery County list, you must seek approval through Montgomery County's Community Engagement Coordinator, Karen Anders (contact information below).
All hours must be completed with a non-profit organization - last year's approved organizations
After students register for fall course at NRCC, all communication will be through their NRCC email account.
