Complete the Senior ACCE Interest Form if you plan to apply to NRCC - Mrs. Webster will start meeting with students individually who have completed this form to discuss your plans and individual needs
Text @bhs26nrcc to 81010 or follow these instructions
Both parents and students are able to join
ACCE eligibility is not finalized until NRCC receives end of year grades
Students must have EITHER a 2.5 cumulative GPA OR a 2.5 GPA using senior year grades ONLY: NRCC wants to remove obstacles and allow as many students possible to participate in the ACCE Scholarship Program
The application opens October 1st and is due Feb. 1
The ACCE application requires that a student has already applied to NRCC and has an NRCC student number (EMPLD ID) and email address - if you have not yet completed this step, follow these instructions
If you have already applied to NRCC and do not know your student number or email address, please see Mrs. Webster
You will receive an ACCE confirmation email immediately after submission
The 2026-2027 FAFSA will open on Oct. 1, 2025
Even if you think that you will not qualify for federal student aid, the FAFSA is a REQUIRED step for ALL ACCE applicants
At this time, there is no income cap for ACCE eligibility; however, if students are eligible for state/federal grants, grant money will be applied to their tuition balance prior to ACCE Scholarship funding
Submit the online FAFSA application AND ADD NRCC to your list of schools
Many students send their FAFSA to four year schools and forget to add NRCC - NRCC MUST be listed on your FAFSA to meet ACCE eligibility criteria
The student's SSN must be on file at NRCC in order to process the FAFSA
If a student submitted an NRCC application years ago for a Dual Enrollment course, the SSN is likely not on file
Students can see Mrs. Webster to add their SSN, or call the NRCC Admissions Office directly and request that it be added: 540-674-3603
DE students who previously submitted an NRCC application will need to submit a Program of Study Update
A student must be placed in a program at NRCC in order to process the FAFSA - this is NOT BINDING and DOES NOT COMMIT a student to attend NRCC
After NRCC processes your FAFSA application, you may be selected by the federal government for verification, meaning, you must turn in additional documentation - all documents are due to NRCC by March 15 for continue ACCE Eligibility
Any additional documents needed will be listed on the student's "To Do List" in SIS
Accessing the "To Do List" requires that students know how to log-in to their NRCC account - See the Log-In Instructions page for written instructions and videos
Note: all Financial Aid information will be communicated to students through their NRCC account in SIS
ACCE Award Notifications are sent via email on April 1: all awards are contingent upon final grades and are NOT binding agreements
Some students may still be waiting on financial aid award packages from four year schools
Accepting ACCE funding is NON-BINDING: Students can choose to accept ACCE funding and change their mind later with no penalty
This meeting is led by Montgomery County's Community Engagement Coordinator and is typically held at the end of April/early May
Visit the Community Engagement link for more information
All ACCE offers are contingent upon final grades
