To be eligible to take dual enrollment courses at BHS, interested students must meet the following criteria:
Be a high school junior or senior
Meet or exceed college placement requirements
Submit an NRCC application (see "Application Instructions" page)
Provide a signed Parent Signature Form prior to enrollment
Because the enrollment of freshmen and sophomores is designated exceptional, each freshman or sophomore student will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require formal approval by the college president as well as the appropriate academic division dean. Other conditions, as deemed by the president, may also apply.
In addition to the above criteria, rising 9th and 10th graders must also meet the criteria listed on the Request for Special Circumstance Dual Enrollment form (pg. 200 in the MCPS High School Program of Studies), and return the signed form to the counseling office
The Parent Signature Form and the Request for Special Circumstance Dual Enrollment form are also available in the BHS Counseling Office.
